 How Should Schools Address Bullying?  By SHANNON DOYNE

Question of the Day:  Tell us your ideas about preventing bullying — and dealing with it when it does occur. Do you think laws like the one in New Jersey will help reduce instances of bullying? What do you think teachers and schools can do to improve school culture and reduce bullying? What approaches do you think can be effective? Do you see this problem getting better, worse or staying about the same in your school or community?

Daily Objectives:  
  • Given a variety of multimedia texts and videos, students will analyze issues related to a variety of Cyber safety and security topics in writing, with a student performance at the basic level or above and 65% on writing rubric.
  • Students will read, discuss and analyze information from articles on online ethics, risks of sharing information online, copyright and fair use, then communicate the results to others using oral, written (Blog post), graphic, pictorial, or multi-media methods, with a student performance at the basic level or above and 6 out of 12 on the project rubric.
