Welcome to the 2017-2018
school year!
The
21st century requires students to develop and use new skills. I use a Hybrid
method of teaching. Hybrid courses pair the best features of face-to-face teaching
with the best options in online learning to promote active and independent
learning. Many assignments can be done at home with a computer and Internet
access. Although a computer would greatly enhance the learning experience, it
is not necessary. An inexpensive pair of
headphones or ear buds will be needed for class. This is a more sanitary
solution to sharing classroom headphones.
We
will be using Google Clasroom this year. Sign
into the Google Classroom at https://classroom.google.com/h. Username is ID/Lunch#@eastorange.k12.nj.us. Password is «First». The classroom code is avaliable on the right sidebar. We will use many of Google’s online tools. More

Enclosed is the East Orange School District Student
Internet Use Contract and Parent Consent form, please sign and return this form
with «First». This year all correspondence will take place via
email. It is extremely important that you provide me with your email on this

year I’m using ClassDojo to encourage important skills, like working hard and
participating. I'll also use it to communicate with you: we can instantly share
messages, updates and photos from class. It's the easiest way for you to see
how your child is doing at school and to get in touch with me. You will need
