Question of the Day:
  • Why might it be tricky for people to recognize when they are being manipulated, especially online? 
  • Some people try to manipulate you by pretending to be your friend, or making you feel understood and valued. 
  • Manipulation involves telling you things you want to hear, and gradually winning your trust before trying to control you. 
Daily Objectives:  
  • Given a variety of multimedia texts and videos, students will analyze issues related to a variety of Cyber safety and security topics in writing, with a student performance at the basic level or above and 65% on writing rubric.
  • Students will read, discuss and analyze information from articles on online ethics, risks of sharing information online, copyright and fair use, then communicate the results to others using oral, written (Blog post), graphic, pictorial, or multi-media methods, with a student performance at the basic level or above and 6 out of 12 on the project rubric.
Word of the Day: Manipulate - Trying to influence somebody to do something they might not otherwise do, for one’s own benefit
