That is, should parents be graded, as has been proposed in Florida; forced to do school volunteer work, as has been proposed in Indiana; fined if children are truant, as is currently done in Alaska; or forced to attend parenting classes if the child is in a gang, as is currently done in California? What complications might judging parents in any of these ways raise?
