Web Design Post-Assessment (April)

HTML  Post-Assessment (April)
Time Frame: 2 class periods

In this assessment, you will create a web page to demonstrate the use of table tags. Once you have completed your webpage, the class will view it to offer feedback.

Directions:

1. Create a folder entitled table.

You should start with the basic code for our html web pages. Be sure to change the title to read: Energy Consumption by Sector and Source, United States, Reference Case (quadrillion Btu, unless otherwise noted)

Your table should look like this:

Energy Consumption by Sector and Source, United States

Sector and Source
2013
Residential

Propane
0.543033
Kerosene
0.019407
Distillate Fuel Oil

Electricity
4.637225
Delivered Energy
11.240038
Electricity Related Losses

Total
20.831038

2. Change the background color of your page.

3. At the top of the page put a Heading in the largest style that reads:
Energy Consumption by Sector and Source, United States

4. Below that put a horizontal rule that has size =5. The header and horizontal should match and the color needs to be changed from the default color.

5. The table should consist of 2 columns and 13 rows. The whole table should be a different color. The border should be set to "1" so we see the border.

6. Provide a summary of the data represented in the table and analyze findings to produce a possible solution for energy resources. Sustainability is the ability of this generation to meet its needs without undermining the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Include the benefits of sustaining energy and how it will help the environment.

7. At the bottom of the page include your name and date below it. You should use a line break to keep these lines close together.
