Computer and Information Technology III Syllabus
CIT III will focus on Web development. Students will HTML, CSS and other languages to develop Web pages and Web sites. HTML means "HyperText Markup Language".  HTML is the markup language that is used to write web pages.  It simply describes a web page's content and its structure.  CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. CSS was designed to define the style of a webpage. It is a way to divide the content from the layout on web pages.

This course will involve both the aesthetics and the mechanics of a Web site. Students will learn how to use web building tools, programming languages and requirements of designing.  Students will create, use and maintain a Blog as a digital portfolio of what they have done in the classroom.  Students will create, develop and share real Webpages and Websites (The highest level of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy).

Students will become productive global citizens and lifelong learners.  Project Based Learning, Inquiry and Problem Based learning will be emphasized to create a student centered learning environment.

Students will use and learn the skills needed for the 21st century.  Students will learn using the power of Web 2.0 tools and resources, along with traditional classroom instruction.  Students will solve real world problems, share ideas and work on collaborative projects. Students will contribute to the collective knowledge base of Web 2.0. Students will be able to handle any problem, assignment, decision or task with the use of information problem-solving strategies. Students will learn in a Blended Learning environment. Blended Learning combines the best of face-to-face instruction with the best of online learning. This extends the learning beyond the classroom and gives students access 24/7.

Students will create, use, and maintain a Blog as a digital portfolio of what they have done in the classroom.  Students will create, produce and share a real world product.
